The issue
For some time, The National Museum of Science and Technology Leonardo Da Vinci of Milan, a leading public institution, has owned an area, not fully exploited at the moment, located in the center of Milan close to a station of the underground and at a very short distance from the University and major sites of tourist-scientific interest.
The Museum, motivated by economic factors but particularly interested in verifying the opportunity of improving and utilizing the space for its own business activity, is considering various alternatives but is aware that the problem must be addressed in a fully-articulated, professional manner.
The solution
Our activity, within the framework of an operation of much broader scope coordinated by the Chamber of Commerce, has resulted in a complete analysis of the surrounding territory (mapping of the functions already present, of the infrastructures, of economic and commercial activities, etc.), of the area’s property development alternatives and an in-depth examination of the technical, economic and financial aspects of the solution considered to comply most effectively with all the goals, requirements and the mission of the Institution concerned.
In this last phase, we have also assumed and confirmed the feasibility of setting up a technologically forefront playground-scientific structure in the area which could contribute to qualifying the image of Milan on a European scale.
